The architectural style will have a more contemporary feel to it, including flat roofs, simple exterior details with linear lines, and large front and back windows. The style will complement the recent buildings that have been constructed in the neighbourhood, in a way that is modern but makes reference to the more traditional buildings on the street.
The brick is capped with a cornice line again making reference to the other flat-roofed brick buildings in the area. The horizontal precast banding helps with the appearance of reducing building height as well as bringing a smaller residential scale to the exterior design. The light grey cement board replaces brick cladding on the third floor.
This creates a datum line at the top of the second floor and allows the third floor to read as a lighter volume. The top of the building is trimmed with a metal faced cornice commonly found on early‐century buildings.
